About Me

How it all began…

If you made it this far, then you must really want to know a little more about me. Well you’re in luck…sit back and enjoy my “short” bio. I’m Cheryl Stewart, the owner of The Open Road Media. I am originally from Long Island, New York (where you can find the best pizza & bagels which I miss so much) and I am now living in Seneca, South Carolina with my wonderful husband! I graduated from SUNY Purchase with my BFA in Photography in 2015. About a year later, my husband and I decided to quit our jobs, pack our car and take a cross country road trip for about two months. There was no better feeling than the absolute freedom we had together on the open road. Then in March of 2018, we had the opportunity to go to St. Croix, US Virgin Islands for my husbands job and ended up living there for three months…..talk about paradise! With all the down time I had there, we decided to invest in a drone so I could capture the beauty of the island. Fast forward again to December 2018, when I became a licensed drone pilot and decided I should open my own business. Well, here we are ladies and gentlemen. The Open Road Media is my new baby (along with our boxer puppy and two nigerian dwarf goats) specializing in real estate and aerial photography, but I am always open and willing to photograph new things every chance I get.
